Carmine Jewel Cherry On it’s way

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

Well my Carmine Jewel Cherry is on it’s way!

I’m so excited!

I can’t wait to taste my first grown cherry, although I know it may take a couple of years.

I’m also getting a blueberry bush from Gurney’s - I emailed them and they let me add another one in since I didn’t get a credit for the original ones, but it won’t ship until next year.

And - someone broke into my backyard, and among other things, ate my snowsweet apple, even thouth it wasn’t ripe.

Crazy people.

I can say that the apple is slow to oxidize - the theif left it sitting in the yard, and only the edges of the half eaten apple were brown - the places where they dug in with their teeth were still white.

I was so looking forward to trying that apple too.

Oh well.
